Municipal Utility Leadership Certificate Program

MEUW offers three one-day courses focused on a set of core competencies essential to success as a leader in a municipal utility setting. Training is designed for new, emerging, and seasoned leaders, managers, and supervisors. Participants will take away new skills and ideas that can be put into immediate use. Courses are designed to facilitate networking and foster peer learning and support.

  • How to identify each employee’s strengths and the best way to leverage them in the workplace
  • Steps to foster an environment where workers are able to share feelings

  • Understand how coaching can be used to develop your team
  • Develop the coaching and mentoring skills that help improve individual performance
  • Demonstrate the behaviors and practices of an effective coach
  • Recognize employees’ strengths and give them the feedback they need to succeed
