Recognizing that many individuals being tapped for leadership roles in their municipal utility have never had any kind of formal leadership training, MEUW is developing a new Leadership Academy to support the professional development of current and future leaders. The Academy curriculum is based on a set of core leadership competencies vital to ensuring municipal utilities continue to thrive, even as the utility industry is transformed.
Participants in Academy workshops focus on small group projects and “experiences” designed to challenge them to think differently and work together to develop new skills that can be immediately applied in their day-to-day work.
The first workshop to kick-off the new Academy is on the topic of "How to Build Collaboration."
The launch of MEUW's Leadership Academy is on hold as a result of the response to the pandemic. Details about a rescheduled kick-off session will be communicated as soon as they are finalized.
