Federal Grants for Municipal Utilities

Thanks to federal funding through the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (ILJA) and the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), there are many grant opportunities available through the U.S. Department of Energy, the USDA and its Rural Utilities Service, and the Department of Transportation.

MEUW recently hosted a members-only webinar to provide information and help utilities navigate the fine details of the grantmaking process. The discussion was led by Maria Lauck, Grants Practice Manager at Power System Engineering (PSE). She provided insights about the latest grant opportunities that can provide utilities with access to no- or low-cost financing for electrical infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
