Join us for a special Friend of Public Power Dinner in southwestern Wisconsin this fall.
Earlier this year, MEUW named state Sen. Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) as recipient of the "Friend of Public Power Award" for 2024. Sen. Marklein authored a bill in the most recent legislative session and advocated for municipal utilities' ability own and operate EV charging stations, and be able to charge by the kilowatthour for their usage, if they so choose. He was also a co-sponsor of SB 481, the transmission owners right of first refusal bill (ROFR).
Cash bar at 6:00 p.m., meal at 6:30 p.m., followed by a brief program during which MEUW will present the award to Sen. Marklein
After the event, MEUW will bill each utility for the guests who attend from that community; the actual cost will depend on the final number of attendees. All are welcome.
To enable us to provide an accurate reservation count to the restaurant, we ask that you register no later than noon on Oct. 11, 2024.
