This is a skilled position in operating, maintaining and constructing an electrical distribution system and other duties as directed by the Administrator/Director of Public Works. Village of Bangor Municipal Electric Utility – Electric Utility Manager
The Bangor Municipal Utility is accepting applications for the position of Electric Utility Manager. This is a skilled managerial position performing complex supervisory, administrative and professional work in planning (including budget), organizing, directing, supervising, and working within the Electric Utility. Applicant must also hold a valid journeyman lineman card and have working knowledge of an electric distribution system, line construction, metering, and substations. This position requires the ability to respond to emergency calls and some afterhours work when warranted including stand-by rotations. Ideal candidate will have 10 years of lineman experience or 5 years of training relating to the construction and operation of an electric utility. Accounting degree or previous municipal managerial experience is desired.
The Electric Utility Manager is a confidential position. The Utility Billing Clerk will perform a full range of clerical duties supporting the operation of the municipal government and utilities department.
