New Lisbon Utilities - Journeyman Lineworkers

City of New Lisbon (Population 2,554), a municipal electric and water utility, is accepting applications for two Journeyman Line workers. These are skilled positions in operating, maintaining, and constructing electric distribution, transmission, and substation systems. The City also operates and maintains its own generation system. Experience with municipal generators is a plus but not required. Minimum qualifications are to include graduation from high school, graduation from lineman vocational training program and a valid journeyman card. You must be able to acquire and maintain a Wisconsin commercial driver’s license. These positions will require occasional after hours call outs and possible work in inclement weather. Knowledge of safety rules and good communication are a must. From time to time you may be needed to assist in other city departments. Starting wage for this position will be up $42.00 per hour depending on qualifications and the City offers an excellent benefit package. Columbus Water & Light - Journey Electric Lineworker
Columbus Water & Light is now accepting applications for a journey-level electric lineworker.  This position will be involved in the operation, construction, and maintenance and repair of the electrical system.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, have successfully completed an apprenticeship program and have a valid driver's license.  If hired, a commercial driver's license must be obtained within six months of employment.  Physical fitness and drug and alcohol screening required.  This position requires the applicant to serve on-call duty on regular intervals.  Applicants must have the ability to perform strenuous physical labor and heavy manual tasks, climbing and working with energized lines.  Knowledge of safety rules and good communications skills are also important.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, have successfully completed the Electrical Power Distribution - Nine Month Program and have a valid driver's license.  Physical fitness and drug and alcohol screening are required.  Knowledge of safety rules and good communications skills are of the upmost importance.  This position will require the applicant to serve on-call duty on regular intervals upon successful completion of the DWD Apprenticeship Program.  Applicants must be able to respond to these situations in a reasonable time.  Applicants must have the ability to safely perform strenuous physical labor and heavy manual tasks, including climbing and working wih energized lines.

Cedarburg Light & Water – Journeyman Line Mechanic/Apprentice
Light & Water is currently looking for either a Journeyman Line Mechanic or Line Mechanic Apprentice to join our electric utility for a full-time position.  The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of power line systems and a strong commitment to safety.  Minimum qualifications include HS diploma, graduation from lineman vocational training program and the ability to obtain and maintain a Wisconsin commercial driver’s license.  A 30-minute response to the utility office is required within 12 months of hire date.  Candidates must also be willing to work overtime and perform stand-by duty.  A Line Mechanic’s work is performed mainly outside in all types of weather.  Starting wages for this position are between $31.30 and $41.73, depending upon qualifications.  If you are interested in learning more about this position, please visit www.cedarburglightandwater.org/job-opportunities for a detailed job description, application and contact information. 
Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU) - Key Accounts Representative 
This is a full-time position, exempt position that requires exceptional managerial skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees, customers, and other stakeholders; experience in sales and providing solutions; and knowledge of rules and regulations of the PSCW as well as other laws pertaining to utility operations.  Good clerical and general office skills. Prior utility operation experience with emphasis on customer service is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in business management, communications, engineering or related field, and a minimum of three years’ experience in commercial and industrial account management are required. This position will filled at the salary grade/experience level commensurate with the skills and experience of the selected candidate, as determined based on the listed minimum requirements. City of New Lisbon - Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator
Duties include assisting in the operation and maintenance of the supply of drinking water and wastewater dapartments by providing a safe and abundant supply of drinking water and clean pollution-free water to the receiving stream.  Abide by the laws set forth by state and federal government as it pertains to drinking water and wastewater standards.  Additional responsibilities include: Municipal swimming pool maintenance, maintain park and cemetery plumbing, and assisting other departments as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a certified water/wastewater operator in the State of Wisconsin. Applicants not currently certified will need to become certified within 2 years. Other qualifications include 3 to 5 years of related experience in electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance of water and wastewater systems. The candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements for the job. Persons seeking this job must be analytical thinkers and problem solvers. Work is often performed outdoors in extreme cold or inclement weather and under conditions that may contribute to emotional and physical stress. Ability to push, pull, and carry at least 50 pounds is required. A State of Wisconsin commercial driver’s license must be obtained within 3 months of hiring and a good driving record is required. Electric Superintendent - Juneau Utilities      
Juneau Utilities, a municipal electric utility, is seeking a full-time, experienced electric superintendent.  This position plans, directs and administers all activities relating to the electric utility, and also supervises related employees’ activities.
Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of electrical distribution systems, knowledge of construction and maintenance of distribution systems, experience directing the work of other employees, experience in mapping of systems, preparing operational budgets, and engineering of in-house new construction.
Applicants should have ten years of experience in electrical utility maintenance and operations, at least four years of experience as a Journeyman Electric Technician, and a high school diploma.  A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
