Electric Line Worker - Village of Wonewoc
This position requires a working knowledge of electrical utility and experience in operating a variety of related equipment.
The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of power line systems and a strong commitment to safety.  A minimum qualification includes a HS diploma, graduation from lineman vocational training program and the ability to obtain and maintain a Wisconsin commercial driver’s license within six months of employment the ability to obtain Water and Sewer Certificates within two years of employment. Drug and alcohol screening required. From time to time, this position requires work to be completed in inclement weather.  Excellent fringe benefits. Water Plant Operator - Menasha Utilities

This is responsible work in the operation of water pumping, purification, and related equipment on an assigned shift. Water Plant Operators are responsible for making minor repairs and adjustments to chemical feed equipment, pumps and other related water treatment processes as required. Work includes inspection and operation of electrical control boards, motors, pumps, meters, filters, GAC contactors, UV reactors and related equipment.  Work is performed using independent judgment and taking corrective action to solve problems. Individual work is reviewed by supervisors through observation and results obtained.

Cedarburg Light & Water – Journeyman Line Mechanic/Apprentice
Light & Water is currently looking for either a Journeyman Line Mechanic or Line Apprentice, with a minimum of two years' experience, to join our electric utility for a full-time position.  The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of power line systems and a strong commitment to safety.  Minimum qualifications include HS diploma, graduation from lineman vocational training program and the ability to obtain and maintain a Wisconsin commercial driver’s license.  A 30-minute response to the utility office is required within 12 months of hire date.  Candidates must also be willing to work overtime and perform stand-by duty.  A Line Mechanic’s work is performed mainly outside in all types of weather.  Starting wages for this position are between $35.38 and $44.23, depending upon qualifications.  If you are interested in learning more about this position, please visit www.cedarburglightandwater.org/job-opportunities for a detailed job description, application and contact information. Manitowoc Public Utilities - Power Plant Assistant Operator

Manitowoc - Journeyman Line Technician 
Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU), Manitowoc, Wisconsin is seeking applications for the position of JOURNEYMAN LINE TECHNICIAN. This is a full-time position and requires constructing and maintaining electric power facilities up to 69 kilovolts. Minimum requirements to apply include Journeyman certification in Electric Line Trade and minimum five years of journeyman experience. A two-year degree in a related field of study is preferred but will consider the right candidate with equivalent training and experience. Hustisford Municipal Utilities  - Journeyman Lineman
Hustisford is accepting applications from qualified individuals for a Journeyman Lineman position with the desire to move up to Superintendent and then to Manager of Utilities over a 5-year period. Current pay range is $41.48 – $45.48 per hour.  This is a skilled position in operating, maintaining, designing and construction of electric distribution system.  Applicants should have knowledge of electric distribution systems, substations operation, metering and experience in municipal water systems including distribution systems, wells, softening and pumping equipment. Minimum qualifications for this position are high school diploma and graduation from a linemen vocational program or a valid journeyman card. Experience in Municipal water systems and DNR licensed in ground water and distribution is preferred or shall be attained. Experience and knowledge of PSC regulated electric and water systems is desired and should have or will complete the MEUW management certification program.  Must also be able to maintain a Wisconsin class A CDL. Assistant Electrical Operations Manager - Electrical Engineer

The Assistant Electrical Operations Manager/Electrical Engineer provides professional and technical advice in support of the electrical distribution system and its Electrical Operations Manager. Under guidance of the Electrical Operations Manager, they will oversee the planning for the expansion, operations, and maintenance of the electric system while ensuring compliance requirements and organizational standards are met. The position handles internal and external customer issues as assigned.  The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a preference for five (5) or more years of increasingly responsible experience in the electric power industry. Experience working within a Wisconsin municipal electric utility is helpful. Experience should include power system planning, engineering design, project management related to distribution, substations, protection and control systems, and mapping. Thorough knowledge of and experience in design and repair or rehabilitation of electric distribution systems. Position reports directly to the Electrical Operations Manager. The City of Lodi is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Operations.  This exempt position reports to the Mayor and provides leadership and direction for the City’s Public Works, Electric, Water and Wastewater Utilities, and Parks departments.  Qualified candidates must have vocational/technical training in areas of public works, electrical, water and wastewater systems in addition to ten years of public works and/or utility experience with management responsibility.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred in Engineering or a related field. Trempealeau Municipal Utilities - Electric Journeyman/ Apprentice Lineman

This position does require abilities to work in all types of weather conditions and involves some heavy lifting. This position also requires the ability to respond to emergency calls and some afterhours work when required.
Ideal candidates will have relevant education, electrical line-worker training and Journeyman certification. Apprentice candidates will have experience in the electrical field of work and must be familiar with and demonstrate a sincere interest in a career as an electric line-worker. Minimum qualifications include: A Technical Degree in Electric Power Distribution from an accredited trade school, a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License (plus CDL) and experience working in the electrical field. Starting base salary range is: Journeyman Lineman $35.00 - $39.00/hour (DOQ), Apprentice Lineman $28.00 - $35.00/hour (DOQ) with an attractive benefit package including health insurance and WRS pension.
