City of New Lisbon (Population 2,554), a municipal electric and water utility, is accepting applications for a Journeyman Line worker. This is a skilled position in operating, maintaining, and constructing electric distribution, transmission, and substation systems. The City also operates and maintains its own generation system. Experience with municipal generators are a plus but not required.  Minimum qualifications are to include graduation from high school, graduation from lineman vocational training program and a valid journeyman card. You must be able to acquire and maintain a Wisconsin commercial driver’s license. This position will require occasional after hours call outs and possible work in inclement weather. Knowledge of safety rules and good communication are a must. City of Oconomowoc - Wastewater Laboratory Manager

Journeyman Lineman, Shawano, Wisconsin

Shawano Municipal Utilities, a municipal electric utility in the City of Shawano, seeks an experienced Journeyman Lineman to fill a vacancy. We may also consider candidates for an Apprentice Lineman position.

Ideal candidates will have relevant education, electrical line-worker training and Journeyman certification. Apprentice candidates will have experience in the electrical field of work and must be familiar with and demonstrate a sincere interest in a career as an electric line-worker. Minimum qualifications include: High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license; (must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire). A Technical Degree in Electric Power Distribution from an accredited trade school is a plus along with experience working in the electrical field. Starting base salary range is: Journeyman Lineman $68,500 – $76,000 (DOQ), Apprentice Lineman $45,600 - $60,800 (DOQ) with an attractive benefit package including health insurance and WRS pension.
