The purpose of the Accounting and Customer Service Seminar is to update utility personnel on regulatory and legislative issues that impact their utility and provide best practices to improve their operations.
We are excited to have Jeffrey Matthias, CFA, CIPM, Portfolio Manager. Jeff serves as a portfolio manager and analyst for Madison’s Fixed Income Team, specializing in tax-exempt municipal bond portfolios. Jeff has been working in the financial services industry since 1987. He earned his B.S. in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and his MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
David Saxby, owner of Measure-X will also be bringing his expertise to the seminar. Measure-X is a measurement and training company specializing in helping Utility companies improve customer service, increase sales and enhance the leadership skills of managers and supervisors. Measure-X has been working in the industry for over 17 years.
Jodi Dobson of Baker Tilly will offer a wide variety of discussion points ranging from risk, accuracy, process for handling, segregation of duties, record keeping and reconciliation. Following Dobson, Attorney Anita Gallucci will deliver an overview of Wisconsin law as it relates to open meetings. Attorney Gallucci is a true power house. Her 22 years of prowess and proficiency never disappoints.
The seminar will close with a presentation from the Wisconsin Public Service Commission and a question and answer session.
