This OSHA 10-hour course is taught by Matt Edwards an authorized OTI instructor with years of electric power, general industry and construction safety experience. Courses are designed specifically for electric power personnel to provide in-depth regulatory training on current electric utiltiy OSHA standards and to provide specific safety management guidance for both new and existing utility personnel.
Training will conform to OSHA Training Institute (OTI) requirements and will include a review of OSHA's role in worker safety, contractor/host employer information sharing requirements, switching and tagging requirements and fall protection. Matt's comprehensive curriculum and thought-provoking stories will help you relate the materials to your utility operations and give you a clear picture of what you need to do to achieve or maintain compliance.
Who Should Attend?
This course is beneficial for supervisors, utility directors, general managers, foremen, linemen and anyone who has an active role in the safety of the utility and its employees.
Each participant that sucessfully completes the class will receive a certificate of completion and an OSHA pocket card.
