Westby Electirc Utility - Journey-Level Electric Line Worker
Municipally owned Westby Electric Utility an EOE is recruiting an individual to fill a Journey Lineman Position. Ideal journey-level applicants must have a broad knowledge of electrical sub-stations and distribution systems, a certificate of completing of a 4-year apprenticeship program and a current CDL. Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW) - Job Training and Safety Instructor

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, ambitious and outgoing individual to serve as a job training and safety instructor in Wisconsin. MEUW is the state association representing the interests of Wisconsin’s locally owned, locally controlled municipal electric utilities. The association has been providing service, advocacy and safety initiatives to municipal electric utilities in Wisconsin since 1928.
As a job training and safety instructor you will provide professional development, continuing education, and safety training services to apprentice and journeyman lineman at 15-20 locations statewide. The primary function of this position is to provide electric lineman training instruction along with safety compliance through educational sessions, workshops and seminars. Daily travel is required with some overnight travel (dependent on residence location in relation to work locations through state). The successful candidate will hold a journeyman lineman certificate or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years practical electric lineman experience. This position requires effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred. Must have an insurance acceptable driver's license.
This position is one of two instructor positions that split the state of Wisconsin. Residency location is flexible within the state however should be south of State Highway 29 where the majority of our member locations reside. This position is also part of a larger safety team totaling thirteen safety professionals serving the occupational safety needs of our member utilities.
