Seasonal Water Operator 
Plymouth Utilities, which serves over 8,000 electric customers and approximately 3,600 water and sewage customers, seeks a qualified person for the position of a seasonal, full-time water operator.  Under the direction of the water foreman, the primary responsibilities are performing various semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of the city’s water department.  Applicant should have experience in performing such work and high school diploma or GED equivalent and possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

General Driver-Laborer

The City of River Falls-SCADA Engineer

Water System Operator
Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU) is inviting applications for the position of Water System Operator.   This full-time water department position primarily involves duties that include the control, operation, and maintenance of the state-of-the-art Microfiltration Water Treatment Plant and related production facilities, and maintenance and repair of the water distribution system and related facilities. Working hours are primarily first shift, with occasional second shift and weekend work.
 
Minimum requirements to apply include completion of a two-year associate degree supplemented by technical school courses in the water field. The possession of a WDNR Operator Certification in Groundwater, Distribution, or a Subclass S Surface Water certification from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is preferred. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required.  This position offers competitive wages with an excellent benefits program, including the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).

Journeyman Line Technician
Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU), Manitowoc, Wisconsin is seeking applications for the position of Journeyman Line Technician. This is a full-time position and requires constructing and maintaining electric power facilities up to 69 kilovolts.

Minimum requirements to apply include Journeyman certification in Electric Line Trade and minimum five years of journeyman experience. A two-year degree in a related field of study is preferred but will consider the right candidate with equivalent training and experience. MPU offers competitive wages and benefits. Starting wage between $32 and $40 per hour depending on qualifications.

City of Arcadia - Utility Billing Clerk/Deputy Treasurer
The City of Arcadia, Wisconsin seeks a qualified applicant for the position of Full-Time Utility Billing Clerk/Deputy Treasurer.  The candidate selected will perform all utility billing duties, and will work closely with the clerk-treasurer and electric, water and wastewater superintendents regarding utility billing issues, rates, and reports. This position will back up the City Treasurer in general ledger balancing. This position includes various customer service functions, including, but not limited to, answering the phone for city hall on a rotating basis, waiting on customers, and collecting payments.  This position also includes uploading and maintaining on-line mapping in Beehive. Organization, accuracy, attention to detail, handling money and confidentiality are required.  The successful candidate will have an associate’s degree in accounting or at least 3 years of experience. New Richmond Utilities - Journeyman Lineman 
New Richmond Utilities, a municipal electric utility located in New Richmond, Wisconsin, is excited to announce that we are growing and hiring additional staff!  If you are a conscientious and safety-oriented individual who is looking to join an organization that puts safety and family first, then this may be the job for you!  We are currently accepting applications for a certified Journeyman Lineman.  The Journeyman Lineman is responsible for the safe construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems, with the overall goal of delivering effective and reliable municipal electric services to utility customers.  Minimum qualifications for the position include certification at the Journeyman level and possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes and combination trailer endorsement.  Position requires a thorough knowledge of the practices, materials and equipment used in the provision of electric services, including WI Public Service Commission requirements.  Additional qualifications include the ability to work flexible hours - including evenings, weekends, holidays - and the willingness to respond to emergency call-outs.  Desirable qualifications include two or more years of experience in a similar role and a willingness to embrace new technologies and ways of doing business.

Kaukauna Utilities - Payment Specialist
Kaukauna Utilities seeks qualified candidates for a Payment Specialist position. This position is responsible for the collection and processing of utility bill payments and miscellaneous accounts receivable payments, including reconciliation through software applications and the preparation of required bank deposit information.  This position also involves answering customer inquiries on their utility bill. 

This position requires an Associate degree in Accounting.  One to two years’ experience in accounting application, including a computerized accounting system, with a working knowledge of computerized spreadsheets and word processing programs; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skill and abilities, the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing and strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.

The City of Norway Department of Power & Light-Journeyman Lineman/Hydro Operator
The City of Norway Department of Power & Light has an immediate opening for journeyman lineman/hydro operator.  High School diploma or equivalent; current journeyman lineman certification preferred but will consider apprenticeship. Applicant must live within a 30 minute response time to the Sturgeon Falls Hydro Plant.  Under general supervision, must be able to perform any duties required in the operation, maintenance, and construction of electric distribution and sub-transmission systems & equipment.

Rice Lake Utilities-Apprentice or Journeyman Lineworker 
Rice Lake Utilities is seeking to fill a position opening for an Apprentice or Journeyman Lineworker within the Electric Utility Department.  Desired candidates should possess one or a combination of the following:

A completion Certificate from the State of Wisconsin Lineworker Apprenticeship Program with distribution and substation experience. Marshfield - General Manager
Marshfield Utilities (MU), located in Central Wisconsin, seeks a General Manager to be the visionary leader of this public power utility that provides water services for the 19,000 citizens of Marshfield and electric service for approximately 13,000 meters. The utility is governed by a five-member Utility Commission elected by the City Council.  MU generates annual revenues of $35 million and boasts some of the lowest electric rates in the state. MU is nearing the completion of replacing electric and water meters with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The utility is staffed by 47 full-time employees. Ideal candidates for General Manager will offer a proven track record of management and senior leadership that includes at least ten years of success in the utility industry. Expertise should include enough breadth and scope of experience to allow the General Manager to work at a strategic level. Candidates should possess a broad understanding of electrical generation, distribution, and transmission. In addition, candidates should possess expertise in water utility operations, policy matters, financial and people management, business negotiations, and member/customer relations. A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or education is highly desired but not mandatory. Annual base pay will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience.  While there are no living restrictions, it would be preferable for the General Manager to live on the Marshfield Utilities electric distribution system.

Menasha Utilities - Water Utility Manager
Menasha Utilities is accepting applications for the position of Water Utility Manager. Menasha Utilities is a Wisconsin municipal utility serving over 9,100 electric customers in a community of 17,437. 

Work involves responsibility for organizing and directing the operations and maintenance activities involved in the pumping and purification of potable water.  Work involves direct responsibility for planning, organizing, scheduling, and coordinating water distribution construction, projects, maintenance and other activities.  Work includes assisting administrators in the formulation of programs and policies to insure a high quality water supply.  Supervision includes all Water employees.  Work is performed with considerable latitude for independent judgment and action within established policies, procedures, and technical guidelines, and is reviewed by the General Manager through conferences and reports.
